Privatklinik Bethanien: An ultra-modern cardiology center in the heart of Zurich

Privatklinik Bethanien is a multidisciplinary private hospital with the ongoing objective to extend and offer an increasingly broad range of medical specialties. In response to this, the hospital has opened a new cardiovascular center featuring a high-tech cardiac catheterization laboratory.
Commonly referred to as a “cardiac cath lab,” a cardiac catheterization laboratory is a dedicated hospital room, specifically designed to perform minimally invasive tests to diagnose and provide treatment procedures for 
cardiovascular diseases.

For many patients, minimally invasive interventional procedures are an appropriate alternative to surgery.
A significant number of diagnostic and therapeutic interventions such as angioplasty and stenting are performed using exceptionally thin guiding catheters that pass through the body’s arteries to give access to the heart
and blood vessels.
